Starodub Museum of Local Lore

Starodub is one of the oldest cities in Russia, in the XVII century was the center of the largest and richest regiment of the Ukrainian Army, on the territory of which Charles XII invaded during the Northern War. The city itself withstood the assault of the Swedes, leaving about a thousand enemies on the battlefield. The museum displays the heroic history of the city and the Starodub Cossacks.
