Monument Guardian Angel of the City
Description:
Monument to the Guardian Angel was established by the local authorities in 2002, in honor of the 225th anniversary of the city of Stavropol. It is a column lined with red granite, on top of which stands a bronze sculpture of an angel, resting with one foot on a gilded sphere, and elevates a cross above the city.
On hot summer days, Stavropol residents are fed with life-giving coolness by the wonderful fountains located at the base of the monument. The height of the monument together with the column is 25 meters. The Angel's gaze is on the east.
This sculpture makes passers-by citizens remember about spirituality, helps to become kinder to relatives and friends, friends and complete strangers, and also contributes to the accomplishment of bright deeds, teaches to dream and believe in a miracle, and also blesses for good deeds. They say that if a person looks at an angel and makes a wish, it will come true.
