Don Historical and Local Lore Museum

The museum was established as a public museum in Donskoe in 1977. Since 1990, the museum has become a branch of the Stavropol State Museum. In 2007, the museum was transferred to the balance of Trunovsky district and received the status of a municipal museum of Trunovsky district.

The building of the museum is located in the center of the village, it was built in 1872 for a one-class ministerial school. The first exhibits were collected, as they say, the whole world. As of January 2017, the institution stores more than 7,500 items of the fixed fund. More than 20 exhibitions a year, up to 180 excursions are organized by employees.

According to the results of work for 2014-2016, the museum was recognized as the best cultural institution among rural settlements of the Stavropol Territory and received a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the region in the amount of 100,000 rubles. In the autumn of 2022 he will be 45 years old.
