Svetlogorsk is a city famous for unusual sculptures. One of them is the Frog Princess. The bronze statue is a slender young woman crouched on a boulder in a frog pose. The princess’ lips are stretched out in anticipation of a kiss. Looking at the sculpture, the prevailing idea of the familiar frog changes.
On the back side of the boulder is attached a tablet with words from a poem by V. Petrovsky.
The author of the sculpture O. Melekhov sculpted this unusual and beautiful sculpture for his beloved city four years ago.
