Water-carrying sculpture

The sculptural work “Girl carrying water” is located in the larch forest park in Svetlogorsk in the Kaliningrad region. A romantic statue is a great place to date.

The Girl Carrying Water is a beautiful statue that you can look at for hours. The sculpture copies the famous work of G. Brachert Sculpture Wasserträgerin, which is better known for the legend of the rescue of a young man by his sister.

Before World War II, there were many works by Brachert in East Prussia. The war destroyed many of them. “Girl carrying water” is preserved, but at the moment is in the museum, as the state of marble, from which the original is made, leaves much to be desired. There's a copy on display in the park.

Not far from the sculpture is the water tower of Svetlogorsk.
