Tatar Van Gogh
Description:
Once upon a time there was an artist. . Just painting. Just thinking about life. Just lived. His life has not been rosy since birth. Gennady Arkhireyev was born in Sviyazhsk, in Stalin’s prison, where it was unclear why his twenty-year-old mother was sent – “enemy of the people”. So he grew up in an orphanage for outcasts on the island, until his mother was released and went with him to Kazan. A few years ago, a lot of people learned about Archireev – the film “Dove” was released based on the stories of the artist’s wife Svetlana Colina. The film is biographical: it is about the prison on the island, and about their love and family life, and about the island. An interesting detail is that in the finale of the tape the authentic works of Archireev are shown. With whomever he is compared – with Vrubel, Van Gogh and even Pirosmani – Archireev in himself. Kazan phenomenon in a good understanding of this phrase. A painter who very accurately and subtly felt the non-parade Kazan, a master whose paintings and houses have their own characters. Director of the museum-reserve in Sviyazhsk Artem Silkin: “The idea to create a museum of Gennady Archireev was in the air on Sviyazhsk.” First of all, this is where he was born. Secondly, there were shootings of the film “Dove”, in which many residents of the island participated. Our idea was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Vozrozhdenie Foundation, especially for the museum we were given a building along Troitskaya Street - this house is located just on the tourist route, so there will be many visitors.
