The Museum of the History of Enlightenment of the Komi region was founded as the Museum of the History of SSU in 1982. Since its foundation, the museum has been headed by Maya Ivanovna Burlykina. For the first five years it was housed in a room of 15 square meters. Funds gradually increased, the exposition space expanded, and the forms of work were improved. Today, the Museum of the History of Education of the Komi region is located in a two-storey extension to the main building of the SSU. The design and artistic solution was made at a high level by designers M.A. Shakhov (St. Petersburg), A.V. Samoilov (Moscow), N.P. Burdaev (Syktyvkar). The museum is an educational, scientific and educational institution, carries out exposition, exhibition, research, scientific and fund, scientific and educational, pedagogical activities, organizes creative meetings, musical evenings, presentations, etc. |
