Manpupuneur - stone idols

Seven stone statues of bizarre shape are stretched almost perfectly in a row on the western slope of the mountain Manpupunyor, which is located in the Troitsk-Pechora district of the Komi Republic. The height of the pillars is from 30 to 42 meters. The remains, as these original figures are also called, were created by wind erosion and frost weathering over millions of years. Stone natural sculptures were objects of the cult of ancient Mansi and are surrounded by a halo of numerous legends. In 2008, stone remains on the Manpupuner plateau were listed among the Seven Wonders of Russia. The stunning beauty has long attracted tourists, but it has always been very difficult to get to it.

Day 1
20.30 Departure by train to the village of Troitsk-Pechorsk.
Start of the tour.
12.30 Arrival in the village of Troitsk-Pechorsk. Meeting of the group guide at the railway station Troitsk-Pechora with a sign "Vertas Tour". Lunch. Transportation by road to Ust-Ilych (60 km). Climb the river by boat to Eremeyevo (80 km). Overnight, bath.
3.The ascent by boat to the Lyaga cordon (Pechoro-Ilychsky Reserve) 120 km. Lunch is dry. Rations. Overnight on the cordon, bath (if desired).
4. 9 km walkway. Lunch (dry rations). Walking 11 km. Overnight in tents.
5. Walking 18 km. Camping at the foot of the plateau. Radial access to Manpupuner Mountain. Overnight in tents.
6.Day. Free time. You can make an additional ascent to the Manpupuner plateau.
7 Walking in the opposite direction 18 km. Lunch is on the way. Overnight in tents.
8. Walking 11 km. Lunch is on the way. Walking passage (9 km) to the Lyaga cordon. Bath. Overnight.
9 Free time on the Lyaga cordon. Excursion by boat to Ebeliz (optional).
15.00 Descent by boat on the river Ilych to Eremeyevo (120 km). Overnight at the guest house. Bath.
10. Descent along the river to Ust-Ilych (80 km). Drive by car to Troitsk-Pechora. Accommodation in the hotel "Pechora". Celebration dinner at the cafe. Presentation of diplomas to the Discoverer of Wonders of Russia
11. Breakfast at the cafe. Transfer to the train station. End of tour. 13.00 Departure of the train to Syktyvkar.
