About the company:
Taganrog Yacht Club is famous for its rich history, which dates back to 1908. On August 12, 1908, the charter of the club was adopted, and this date is considered the moment of its foundation.
Until the revolution, the club remained a place for the elite, where people from the lower classes were not allowed.
Until 1952, the club building was wooden and housed billiards and a restaurant. On May 28, 1952, a new stone building was opened on the site of the old building with changing rooms and classes for theory. Next to the new building built a new slip, boating and other facilities necessary for yachting.
Today, the Taganrog Yacht Club is a solid sports organization that has weight in its field.
Every year there are night races for the prize of the publication “Taganrogskaya Pravda”, All-Russian races of yachts of different classes, up to cruising, as well as All-Russian competitions of radio-controlled yachts.
In addition to all of the above, there is a school in the yacht club, which teaches canoeing and kayaking, as well as the art of sailing. Future champions and participants of European, world and Olympic regattas are brought up here.
