House-Museum of A.A. Durov
Taganrog, A. Glushko Lane, 44.
About the company:
The museum is dedicated to the outstanding circus artist and trainer Anatoly Durov, who successfully toured around the world, but Taganrog considered his home. The house-museum was opened in 1988 and tells about the creative path, methods of animal training, numerous tours and students of the trainer.
The museum has about 2,000 exhibits, including a biography, tour map, original documents, letters and contracts of the artist. Visitors can also see fragments of a 1920s film that showcases the trainer’s unique tricks. For example, one of the most famous, the play "Heart of a Dog", in one of the scenes of which up to thirty animals participate simultaneously without the presence of a trainer.
