Museum of Chekhov Shop

The Chekhov Shop Museum is located in the house where Anton Chekhov’s family lived in 1869-1874. The museum was opened in 1977 and tells about the childhood years of the writer, which he spent in this house and about the life of his family.

The building of the museum preserves the atmosphere of the time when the writer’s family lived here. Among the exhibits you can see furniture, household items and other genuine things that belonged to Chekhov. The museum regularly hosts excursions, exhibitions and literary and musical evenings. Also in the shop you can buy elite varieties of tea and coffee and visit the souvenir shop.
