About the company:

On May 6, 2010, on the eve of the celebration of the sixty-fiveth anniversary of the Great Victory, the Taganrog Military-Historical Museum was opened on the territory of the "South - Art Forging" plant.

The exhibits of the museum were original weapons, equipment, military household items, awards related not only to the Great Patriotic War, but also to the pre-revolutionary period and to the time of the Civil War.

The initiative group, headed by the director of the museum, collected a collection of antique cars and other equipment for five years, restored them, and with the support of citizens who also brought rarities from personal stocks, gained an extensive collection that formed the basis of the museum’s exposition.

Visitors to the museum can see motorcycles and cars of the times of the Great Patriotic War, an infantry fighting vehicle, a field kitchen, a Maxim machine gun, a Shpagin submachine gun (PPSh) and his American brother - a Thompson submachine gun, a Tokarev self-loading rifle, and much more. One of the exhibits of the museum was the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, dated June 24, 1941, in which Molotov’s appeal to the people was published.

On the territory of the museum, a military dugout and a combat position with the legendary Maxim machine gun were built.
