r. Luxemburg, 30, Tarusa, Kaluga region
About the company:
The Tsvetaev Museum was opened in Tarus to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great poetess Marina Tsvetaeva. This is a memorable place that is now visited by many tourists.
The museum is located in the “House of Tjo”, bought in 1899 by Tsvetaeva’s grandfather Maine. In this house, Marina and her sister Anastasia lived during winter trips to Tarusa, and their father, the founder of the Museum of Fine Arts, visited the house.
Now the museum shows visitors personal items Tsvetaev: furniture, items that belonged to Marina Tsvetaeva and her family. The museum annually hosts Tsvetaev holidays, scientific readings and children's festivals-competitions. The museum can be visited from 10 to 17 hours, except Monday.
In 2006, a monument to Tsvetaeva was opened in Tarus.
