History Museum of Taigi City

Municipal institution "Historical Museum of Taiga" was established on the basis of the order of the Head of the city of May 31, 2000 and began its activities in 2001. The main activity of the museum is: storage, accounting and scientific processing of museum objects and collections; organization of stationary, temporary and mobile exhibitions from the funds of the museum and museums of other cities of Kuzbass. Museum staff closely cooperate with the Orthodox parishes of the city. Always in the museum on the eve of the celebration of the Great Orthodox holidays with visitors, lectures on the history of Christianity are held by the rectors of the churches of St. Andrew of Crete and the Prophet Elijah of Priest A. Tom and A. Alekseev, exhibitions of church books, utensils, crafts and crafts on Orthodox themes are demonstrated.
