Baduk lakes
Description:
Baduk lakes are famous for their beauty. The chain of three lakes is the decoration of the Teberdinsky Reserve. To the place of approach, you need to drive 13 km from Dombay or 9 km from Teberda. The path passes through a dark picturesque forest at first steeply up, and closer to the lakes on huge granite stones of green color. And green because they are covered with lichens. If you go in early May on the route is still deep snow - this is the remains of avalanches that have not melted to the end. The slopes of the gorge are steep and avalanches often descend from there. The route is landscaped: a huge iron bridge across the river, arbors, canopies, benches for recreation were built. To the 3rd lake go 4.5 km. It is the largest of the three - its area of 2.6 hectares, length of 270 m, depth of almost 9 m. It is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The water in the lake is very cold, but there are walruses who like to swim in it in hot weather. The green-turquoise lakes are magnificent.
