Bazaar Square

Tobolsk, since its foundation, was considered a major trading center in the northern part of the Tyumen region. It was through it that trade routes from Europe to Asia once passed. A variety of fairs were held here, they differed in seasons and goods that were sold at them. The main place of fairs here has always been considered the Trading Square. It was here that all merchants of both European and Asian countries tried to get there. Here fabrics, products and jewelry were sold, the most popular goods were: silk, teas, sugar, salt and precious stones. Now active archaeological work is being carried out on the site of the Trade Square, many coins of different denominations have already been found.
