Description:
In the Tobolsk Kremlin, a little east of the bishops’ house, there is a small gardener’s house. It was built in the XIX century to store garden equipment and to live in it gardener in the summer. This is a small one-storey building square shape covered with tiles. Before entering it, a wooden shed was built, which was used as an entrance hall and a place for storing inventory. The house has two arched windows, as well as a small fireplace with an entrance outside.
Of great value was the garden, which was located near the bishop’s house, its area was 6127 square meters. In 1928, 800 shrubs and trees of various local breeds were planted here. The garden was followed by Taurin M.P., he was a researcher who was engaged in the selection and breeding of frost-resistant varieties of various fruit trees. Over time, after Taurin left this position, the garden fell into desolation and after a while disappeared. The gardener’s house was also not restored, as a result of which it is not in the best condition.
