Ermak Garden in Tobolsk
Tyumen region, Tobolsk, Nikolsky Vzvoz
Description:
Yermak Garden is a favorite resting place for residents and guests of Tobolsk, it was founded in 1855 near the monument to the great ataman. A little later, a greenhouse and a greenhouse were arranged here. The garden almost immediately became a place of folk festivals, here they began to grow flowers for sale, as well as take indoor plants for storage in winter. In the greenhouse, the inhabitants of the city grew greens and early vegetables, however, the cost of these products was very high.
In July 1891, the heir to the throne Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich visited the garden of Ermakov. He examined the monument and expressed a desire to make it more militant. Then the guns were buried in the ground, between which the chains were pulled. In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the premises of the Public Assembly were located in the garden of Ermak, where many city events were held. Currently, the Yermak garden is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay - arbors, wooden benches, canopies, samples of park art, fountains and sculptural compositions. This place is perfect for an exciting pastime with the family.
