Tomsk regional drama theater

Tomsk Regional Drama Theatre is one of the oldest theaters in Siberia. Throughout its history, its face has always been inextricably linked with the life and development of the city, which is the university and cultural center of the region. All this was reflected in the repertory policy, and in the desire to profess a modern theatrical language. Over the past few years, performances of the Tomsk Regional Drama Theatre have taken part in many Russian festivals. So, some productions were appreciated at the Real Theatre in Yekaterinburg, at the Golden Lion in Lviv, at the Golden Skate in Tyumen and at the All-Russian Festival of Modern Drama named after A. Vampilov in Irkutsk.

Directors, actors, artists of Tomsk performances became laureates and were awarded prestigious prizes. The modern troupe of the theater consists not only of experienced masters, but also of young actors, many of whom have already managed to show themselves brightly and become favorites of the public. The modern composition of the troupe involves two folk and eight honored artists of Russia, as well as Honored Artist of Ukraine. Recently, a museum of theater history was opened in the Tomsk Regional Drama Theatre.
