About the company:

The Narym Museum was founded in 1938 as the Stalin Museum.

In 1991, in connection with the opening of a new department telling about the political repressions of the Soviet system, the existence of the camp system and special commandants, the museum was renamed the Narym Museum of Political Exile.

In the complex of buildings there are transferred memorial buildings: the Narym chamber and the Alekseev house, where I.V. Stalin quartered in 1912.

In 2003, on the territory of the open-air museum, the “Counter of Selkup Antiquities” was created.

The largest complex of materials reflects the various stages of political exile to the Narym Territory and presents personal belongings, documents and photographs of participants in the Decembrist uprising of 1825, revolutionaries of 1905-1917, Soviet repressed citizens of 1930-1950.
