About the company:

The Museum of Wooden Architecture was established as a department of the Tomsk Regional Art Museum. It is located in the former mansion of civil engineer A.D. Kryachkov, who made a significant contribution to the formation of the architectural and artistic appearance of Tomsk. The museum building is a monument of wooden architecture of federal significance, which is one of the brightest examples of modernity.

In May 2009, the permanent exposition of the museum was solemnly opened, which is presented in the halls according to the stages of development of the history of wooden construction and architectural decor. The expositions are based on numerous wooden fragments of houses, mainly windows, pilasters, cornices and other samples of carved decor. Visitors are offered exhibitions of works by masters in the artistic processing of wood.

The expositions are based on the collection of the Museum of wooden architecture. On the first floor of the building there is a hall "Russian hut" and expositions of the collections "Carpenter's tools" and "Casting".
