Toropetsk Museum of Local History

About the company:

The Toropetsk Museum of Local Lore, opened in the city of Toropets in 1924, has been located since 1962 in the building of the former Epiphany Church (18th century). The church itself is located on the island, where in the 16th century the Toropetsk Kremlin, called the new city, or the settlement of Red Val (archaeological monument of republican significance), appeared.
Significant interest among visitors, especially among young people, is caused by a fragment of the guerrilla headquarters in the form of a peasant hut, where tactical classes are held using radios, military ammunition and visual aids. Of particular interest are archaeological finds that testify to the culture and life of that time.
