161300, Vologda region, Totma, Chkalovsky Per., 10

About the company:

The house-museum was opened in 1990 in the house where he spent the last days of his life on his return to his homeland Ivan Alexandrovich Kuskov – a Totem philistine, the founder of the southernmost Russian settlement on the American continent – the Ross fortress. Having completed the glorious galaxy of totem sailors, Ivan Kuskov was an outstanding figure of his era, an outstanding diplomat, thanks to whose efforts the activities of the Russian-American company were actively developing.

The exposition of the museum, which became the first museum of Russian America, contains documents, letters, portraits, objects of that era. In front of the house-museum there is a bust of the navigator by N.N. Mukhataeva (1990), and also the creations created by the masters within the framework of the festivals of wooden sculpture “Reviving History” are presented.
