We invite you to visit the Polenov Museum and the village of Bekhovo with a boat trip along the Oka and a visit on September 14, 2025.
For more than 100 years, a three-story white house has stood on a high hill above the Oka. Its architecture is original and original. This house was built in 1892 by the project of Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov, the famous Russian painter.
As early as 1887, Polenov wrote: I dream of a house on the bank of the Oka about how we will build it, how we will live there, make a large room, where there will be a museum, an art gallery, a library. Nearby will be the carpentry workshop; the admiralty, the fishing and the terrace; and above that will be my painting workshop. Wonderful dreams may come true.” All dreams have been realized.
