Field of military glory

The origins of the Tula military and weapons business lie in the depths of the XVI century. Vasily III for the sake of saving the state from the Crimean khanate turned Tula into a fortress, the center of the defensive system on the southern borders. And it really became such – no foreign conqueror could find the key to it.

The program "The Field of Military Glory" is dedicated to the bright pages of the history of the Tula land. It allows you to visit the Kulikovo field – a historical area where the legendary battle between the troops of Dmitry Donskoy and the horde of Mamay took place, as well as other, no less interesting historical sites.

Day one plan:

• Sightseeing tour of Tula with inspection of the main attractions. This part introduces historical and architectural monuments that can be seen on the streets of the city, including the famous Kremlin and temples of the XVII-XIX centuries.
• Departure to the village of Epiphany. A visit to the Museum of the History of Russian Merchants immerses in the situation typical for the district city of Russia of the late XIX-early XX centuries, allows you to feel the incomparable flavor of the trade process of those times. The interactive program “Visiting the merchant Baibakov” ends with tea.
• Departure to the village of Monastyrshchino. Visit the Museum of the Battle of Kulikovo, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, the Alley of Memory and Unity. These places amaze with impressive panoramas and a completely special energy!
• Inspection of the memorial on the Red Hill, the temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The composition of the temple is similar to the composition of the painting “Bogatyri” Vasnetsov. The roofs of the towers exactly repeat the helmets of Alesha Popovich and Dobrynya Nikitich.
• Return to Tula. Hotel accommodation. Dinner. Free time.

Second day plan:

• Excursion to the Museum and Exhibition Center "Tula Antiquities", which has impressive archaeological collections and immerses in the atmosphere of the workshop of Tula XVI-XVIII centuries.
• Interactive excursion on the territory of the Center for the Reconstruction of Medieval Culture "Vityaz". The unique site moves into the Middle Ages.

Guests of Tula are accommodated in the hotel. The program provides lunch on the first day, breakfast and lunch on the second.
