EXCURSION "TULA ORTHODOX"
Description:
The history of Tula deanery is directly related to the history of the city of Tula and the Tula diocese: the beginning of Christian preaching in Tula places dates back to the first half of the XII century, and at the time of the revolutionary revolution in the city in 1917, there were 68 churches and house churches (at the seminary, hospitals, shelters, educational institutions, factories) and three cathedrals. Unfortunately, many of them have not survived.
The tour introduces the preserved Orthodox shrines of Tula: the Cathedral of All Saints, Uspensky, Epiphany and Spaso-Transfiguration Cathedrals, monasteries and unique churches of the city, the Cathedral of Tula Saints, miraculous icons and relics of saints.
