Secrets of Filimon's toy

You can learn about the features of creating spectacular sculptural decorations in the folk style using the program “Secrets of Filimonov’s toys”.

This is the oldest folk art craft of Russia. His homeland is the village of Filimonovo of the Odoevsky district of the Tula region, which was first mentioned in ancient chronicles of the XVI century.

A 2-day excursion is a great opportunity to learn more about folk crafts, join our national culture, get acquainted with interesting facts about the history of the Tula region and discover it from an unexpected side.

In addition, this is an amazing journey to a real paradise for lovers of sweets, watching their health!

Day one plan:

• Sightseeing tour of Tula with a tour of the main attractions - the Kremlin, Lenin Square, the Kremlin Garden and many others, as well as the new Tula embankment, which is one of the largest improvement projects implemented in the region.
• Visit the State Museum "Tula Samovars", which has an extensive exposition, including more than 300 exhibits. They differ in shape, materials and size. The institution presents all kinds of samovars - from a huge, designed for 70 liters, to a tiny - for 3 drops of water.
• Visit to the memorial museum of N. I. Beloborodov, the creator of chromatic harmonics. For almost two centuries of history, Tula harmonies and bayanas have become one of the symbols of Russia, having received deserved recognition all over the world. And this instrument itself turned, along with gingerbread and samovars, into a symbol of the Tula region.
• Excursion to the Museum "Tula gingerbread" with tea. Every corner of this institution is saturated with the spirit of honey delicacy. The exhibits are gingerbread, among which there are both the largest in Russia, weighing 16 kg, and the smallest, weighing 50 g.

Second day plan:

• Visit to the Philemon toy museum. This is a great opportunity to learn the secrets of the production of ancient products, visit a master class on modeling and painting Filimonov’s toys.
• Excursion to the museum of pastiles "Old traditions". Interesting facts about the emergence of folk crafts – apple pastile and pertussis lace – will be revealed in this program. One of the best masters of her craft will demonstrate the process of creating magic lace with the help of special whooping coughs. You can also try the most delicate delicacy - Belev apple pastil.

Guests of the arms and gingerbread capital are accommodated in a hotel of the selected category. On the first day of the tour, lunch is provided in the restaurant, on the second - breakfast in the hotel.
