Tula literary

The great names of Russian literature make the Tula region famous far beyond its borders. L. N. Tolstoy, V. A. Zhukovsky, G. I. Uspensky, V. V. Veresaev, N. Ostrovsky, I. S. Turgenev - and this is not the entire list of writers associated with the Tula Territory. On the Tula material, the history of the Oka expanses, the past and today of the Tula region, significant works of ancient literature have been created: “Zadonshchina”, “The Tale of the Massacre of Grand Duke Dmitry Ivanovich”, numerous epics and songs.

As part of this individual tour, tourists are invited to get acquainted with the most interesting and significant places of literary Tula. I would like to pay special attention to visiting the house-museum of the writer Vikenty Veresaev. It is the only museum in Russia of a writer, literary critic and Pushkinist. The museum is the custodian of unique objects related to his life and work. The exposition presents documents, portraits, works of the author, personal photographs, autographed books by A. P. Chekhov, M. Gorky, L. Andreev, watercolor drawings by V. Polenov, M. Voloshin, who visited the estate.
