Tula weapons

Gun business is the third symbol of Tula along with gingerbread and samovars, without which it is impossible to imagine the city. As part of this individual tour, you will walk along the streets and alleys of one of the oldest Tula districts - Kuznetsk Sloboda. You will talk about the origin of the blacksmith craft in the ancient city, discover the history of the Demidov gunsmiths and the recipe for the success of Tula masters.

From Kuznetsk Sloboda you will move to the Tula arms factories and complete the tour in the Tula State Museum of Weapons, which is one of the oldest museums in Russia. The museum has samples of weapons of the Russian army of the XVII – XX centuries, guns and pistols of Western European and Eastern masters. Of particular interest to visitors is the exhibition of Russian military equipment of the second half of the XX century, which installed weapons developed by enterprises of the defense complex of Tula (reactive systems of volley fire "Grad" and "Smerch", anti-aircraft self-propelled installation ZSU-23-4 "Shilka", main battle tank T-80 and medium tank T-55, infantry fighting vehicle BMP-1P).
