Visiting Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy

Yasnaya Polyana is a noble estate, on the example of which you can study the life of people of the XIX century. The program "Visiting Leo Tolstoy" allows you to visit a very beautiful atmospheric place, impregnated with history and culture, as well as get acquainted with other sights of Tula.

On the territory of the huge estate that Tolstoy inherited from his maternal grandfather, Prince Volkonsky, there are 4 ponds, parks, gardens, vegetable gardens, outbuildings, stables and the house of the great writer.

Excursion programme:

• Arrival in Tula (no later than 10:00). Meeting with tour guide
• Excursion to the museum-estate of L. N. Tolstoy "Yasnaya Polyana", including a walk around the reserve, a visit to the Writer's House, Fligel Kuzminsky.
• Excursion on the territory of the historically reconstructed museum and station complex of Kozlov Zasek and the exhibition "Leo Tolstoy Railway"
• A sightseeing tour of Tula, during which you will visit the Museum Quarter (Metallistov Street) and learn why the street has changed its name several times, walk along the Kremlin and Pushkin Squares, see the Tula Drama Theater, learn what Tula lives now, why it is considered the arms, gingerbread, samovar and harmonic capital of Russia. During the tour you will see the main monuments of Tula - S.I. Mosin, Levsha, Peter I, the monument to Pryanyk, N. Demidov; walk in the embankment of Upa (Kazan embankment) and many others.
• Excursion to the Tula Kremlin is a monument of defense architecture. You will get acquainted with the architectural monuments of the Kremlin: walls, towers, the Assumption and Epiphany Cathedrals, the cathedral bell tower, restored in 2014, and the functioning temple of Dmitry Donskoy located in it.
• Individual excursion to the Tula State Museum of Weapons (building "Helmet"), where you are waiting: authentic museum exhibits in 3D format; immersion in the historical era in interactive and game zones; multimedia technologies - "virtual" storytellers, electronic description of objects, "Encyclopedia of weapons" mini-cinemas, computer educational games and much more; unique design of a new permanent exhibition; striking interior and atmosphere of the museum.
