Nikitsky Tower
Description:
The most mysterious and sinister of all the towers of the Tula Kremlin is the round Nikitskaya Tower. The urban area near the tower was called the "Nikit end", named after the church of Nikita the Great Martyr, which was located in it, which gave it its name. Nikitskaya Tower is divided into three floors. The lower tier of the tower is blocked from the upper hemispherical vaults. This tower had a bad reputation among the citizens, as it was a torture room for thieves and rioters. Now in the torture chamber conduct tours and tell how the executioners tortured people in the XVII century.
