Family estate Tolstoy 100 km from Yasnaya Polyana. Since 1892, the estate was owned by Sergey Lvovich Tolstoy - the eldest son of the writer. In the 1980s, on the initiative of the workers and management of the Tula Machine-Building Plant, Nikolskoye-Vyazemskoye gained a second life as a museum-reserve. On the basis of a true foundation in Nikolsk was built house-museum family Tolstoy. Its opening took place on September 6, 1986. In 1999, the estate, in which restoration work was carried out, was transferred to the Yasnopolyansk Museum as a branch. A museum exposition is open for visitors. Conditions for accommodation of tourists are created. |
