Tuymazin Museum of Local History was established as a public museum in 1973, since October 1989 it has been a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Collections of homespun curtains, towels, wedding dresses, hand mills - millstones, birch bark tuesks and bodywork, copper trays and samovars tell about the material culture of the peoples inhabiting the Tuimazinsky district.
