About me and my experience
I am a personal certified tour guide to Tver.
What brings me to tour guides? An accident. I tried it once and liked it. Behind them was a rich experience of public speaking in front of collectives and personal communication with people. When I say that tens of thousands of people have “passed” through me in previous 14 years, this is not an exaggeration. Plus a good knowledge of the city and interest in its history. At first he drove excursions only for acquaintances, and then decided to turn this hobby into a profession and legalize it.
What makes me different from many other tour guides? I enumerate:
- I work only on the tariff "Personal / Family / Small friendly team". This means that at the time of the tour, the absence of strangers is guaranteed. For an extra conditional 500 rubles, I do not connect anyone to the group.
- No prepayment, payment at the end of the event on the fact of rendering the service.
- I work legally, i.e. I pay professional income tax.
At the end of the event, according to Federal Law No. 144-FZ, Art. 14, we will issue an electronic check.
- I work with legal entities.
- I accept cash rubles and CHF, transfers from card to card (Alfa-Bank, Gazprombank, OZON card, Sberbank, Halva / Sovcombank, Tinkoff), transfers via the Quick Payments System and to a bank account, electronic currencies WMZ, WME and Neteller ($ gaming and non-gaming).
What else?
- I am a native of Tver, not a visitor or a visitor. My childhood and adolescence fell on the times of the USSR, my youth - on the "dashing 90s". That is why I remember the Soviet Kalinin (the former name of the city), Tver perestroika, Tver bandit, Tver "two thousand" and so on.
- Historically, in our country, the guide is almost always a woman. That's good. The client must also have a choice based on gender.
- Very often a guide to the first education is a historian, less often a geographer, philologist, culturologist, linguist, economists and philosophers come across. I'm an applied mathematician. And my second diploma is a guide diploma. Both are real, state, honestly earned, and the diploma of the guide is even red. It happens. So, to paraphrase a convincing tirade to a friend of mine, "Well, where else would a guide-applied mathematician take you on a tour?" I'm the only one in Tver.
- I try to follow the golden rule of the guide - "The show exceeds the story." That is why we are at the same monument to Prince Mikhail Tversky on the square of the same name for just 5 minutes. Why spend 20 to 30 minutes talking about what you can learn on the Internet? It is better to visit in a minute close to a couple of places that other guides are unlikely to show you.
- I have my own personal electronic “guide portfolio” on the tablet. I did not buy this e-portfolio or order on the side, I made it myself. Since school, he wanted to become a programmer, became an applied mathematician, and worked for many years in the financial sector. Programming is just a hobby. This is why I created my electronic portfolio. For each object I talk about, I try to show historical photos, copies of orders, reproductions of paintings, etc. This is not a “stitched” briefcase, like the Moscow guides. In this electronic portfolio, I include what I want and how I want to expand the visual and audio range to the delight of tourists.
- I like to dig through auction sites, electronic libraries and catalogs in search of mentions and information about Tver. It’s a lot of what I’m demonstrating and telling that you won’t find on the Internet. You won’t find anything through search engines.
My services and offers
I can show both Tver “parade” and Tver nooks – places where other guides do not lead. My approach is purely masculine, I try to operate only with facts, therefore: no urban legends and fantastic fictions about my native city, as well as long-term emotional excursions into history with the chanting and deification of historical figures. Time is money, gentlemen, and yours, so I try to follow the golden rule of the guide: the show exceeds the story.
If you are staying in a hotel in the Central district of the city, in the historical center or close to that, then I will try to make a route “from the hotel”. You're comfortable, and I'm comfortable.
