Church of the Intercession of the Virgin
Description:
The church was built in 1774 on the bend of the Tmaki River, in the place where it turns to the northeast before confluence into the Volga. In the times of the Tver principality, the Afanasievsky Maiden Monastery on the sands was located on this place. The wooden Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, mentioned in the scribe books of 1626, but apparently it was destroyed during the Lithuanian invasion.
