Church of Seraphim of Sarov

The Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov is located in the city of Tver, it was built by parishioners in 2004 on the site of a destroyed church. The Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos was completely destroyed in the thirties, it was located next to the Volyn cemetery. The first few years of the existence of the new church were difficult - the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov was tried several times to burn down, and during the construction of the cross was broken.

The place for the temple was not chosen by chance. On the Volyn cemetery, located next to the temple, there are the remains of priests, officers, teachers and many worthy people of Tver. Also buried in the cemetery innocently shot people during the years of persecution. Therefore, the church set itself the main task - to mourn and pray for all those killed, asking for peace for them. The Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov is a temple-monument to all these fallen people.
