Pasha Savelyeva Street
pasha Saveliev street, Zavolzhsky district, city of Tver
Description:
Pasha Savelyeva Street exists in Tver approximately from 50-60-ies of XX century. It used to be called Polar Street. It was renamed in honor of the famous Soviet underground girl who was from these lands. By the way, in the area still hang old signs with the name of Polar street.
Despite the fact that the street occupies the outskirts of Tver, it is crowded. This is a sleeping area with multi-storey new buildings. In addition, on the street there are hostels for workers, a school, a technical school, as well as large industrial enterprises such as Sevzapenergolegprom.
Once in this area there were several small lakes, but during the period of mass development, the reservoirs were drained. The city government has repeatedly raised the issue of their restoration, but so far this has remained only on paper. The former lakes are now a wasteland.
Pasha Saveliev Street from the city center can be easily reached by public transport. There are buses, buses and even trams.
