Chevakino Manor
Description:
The estate of Chevakino belonged to the nobles of Zagryazhsky, and then passed to the Chevakinskys. It should be noted that it was here that Savva Chevakinsky (1713-1777) was born, the greatest Baroque master in Russia, the mentor of V.I. Bazhenov, who decorated St. Petersburg with his works.
By the way, the brilliant architect never managed to get rich, as evidenced by the documents of those years. The ensemble of the estate belongs to the second half of the XIX century. To this day, a one-storey master's house with a portico of 4 columns located on the central facade, as well as service buildings, has survived. In addition, the cascade of ponds reminds us of the once landscaped park.
A few kilometers from the estate there is a building. This is a water tower that rises in the middle of a large field. The tower was built in the early XX century, it was intended for refueling steam locomotives at the railway crossing.
