Mitino Manor

Russia, Tver region, Torzhoksky district, Mitino village

Description:

Currently, the Mitino estate, a monument of manor and park construction of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries, is a sanatorium. It is located in the Tver region, Torzhok district. This is the former estate of the nobles of Lviv. The project belongs to Nikolai Alexandrovich Lvov (1753-1803), who succeeded not only in creating literary works, but also in his architectural works.

The estate consisted of buildings, such as the lord's house, outbuildings, the body of the distillery, the forge. On its territory, the Resurrection Church of brick and stone has been preserved, in the basement of which there is a family tomb, where N. A. Lvov is buried. But most of all is of interest to tourists, a curious building - a cellar-glacier, in the form of a pyramid with an arch of stone.

Now this estate, located on the high bank of the Tvertsa River, is practically not preserved, but the beauty of nature, picturesque places, healing pine air attract many tourists.
