Volokolamsk avenue

Tver region, Tver, Volokolamsk Avenue

Description:

Volokolamsk Prospekt, the main avenue in Tver, is one of the important city highways, which arose in the 1960s on the place where there were gardens and wastelands. The prospectus provides through an overpass the exit of transport to the Southern residential area, as well as to the Volokolamsk highway and further. In 1971, a bridge was built across the Lazur River and a trolleybus was released to the station from the center. He's crossing the street. Fadeeva, Sklizkova Street and Victory Avenue.

On the avenue comes a small part of the Victory Park, also there is the state Tver Puppet Theater, cooperative Tver College and secondary school No. 36.

The avenue was named so because it was going to be extended to Volokolamsk highway (but this was only possible in 2009).
