Zavid temple
The temple is located in the village of Zavidovo.
Description:
Zavidov temple - a unique temple, is considered one of the most beautiful in the region. It is a popular place of pilgrimage and excursions, attracting about 4,000 people annually.
The temple complex was built in the XVII-XIX centuries and had many decorations outside and inside. After the revolution, the temple was badly damaged, several buildings were destroyed. The interior remains intact and perfectly preserved to this day.
The temple houses the Miracle Icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God, a copy of which is received by all tourists as a gift. Also, visitors can climb to the bell tower, which overlooks the surrounding area and visit the temple tea room, where visitors will have tea.
