A.S. Pushkin Museum in Bernov

The A.S. Pushkin Museum in Bernov was opened on June 6, 1971 and is located in the Wulf manor house. In the halls of the first floor there is a literary exposition “Pushkin in Staritsky district”, which presents the subject world of the Pushkin era, portraits of the owners of old manors and addressees of Pushkin lyrics. Paintings and household items convey the appearance and interiors of the destroyed houses of nearby estates Kurovo-Pokrovskoye and Malinniki. The village “Onegin’s Cabinet” was reproduced.

The exposition of the second floor recreates the atmosphere of the noble manor house of the first half of the XIX century: the interiors of the office of I. I. Wolf, the living room, the dining room, where the things found during the restoration of the Berne house are presented. The Wulf House is adjacent to a park with the preserved structure of the old park of the XVIII century, with elements of the French regular and English romantic parks.
