Historic Square

The historical square is one of the most famous places in Tyumen, many centuries ago the first Tyumen settlers built a fortress here. The square is located on the border of two districts - Kalinin and Central. From here there is an amazing view of the river part of the city, which was written by many travelers who were in Tyumen.

Every stone of Historic Square is permeated with the breath of history. And the place where the foot of a pedestrian steps on the shore from the bridge of Lovers, and under the asphalt the remains of the foundation of the Annunciation Cathedral are stored. And the Victory Monument, on the stone pylon of which flowers never disappear. And a memorial sign to Yermak “with comrades”, which is installed in a small garden. And the Gostiny Dvor building surveyed from here, where today the military commissariat of the region and one of the units of the Tyumen Institute of Culture are located. And, of course, the building of the City Duma Museum. Once upon a time, the Tyumen City Duma made history within its walls.
