Square of the Airborne Forces in the city of Tyumen

d. Tyumen, st. Latitudinal, 165

Description:

In August 2009, the Tyumen house-building company, in a sign of respect for the Tyumen paratroopers and devotion to the Airborne Forces, made an invaluable gift, began the construction of a square, which is called "VDV". The main entrance from Latitude Street is crowned with a blue arch, made in the form of a parachute, behind it is a monument to paratroopers. It is a beige obelisk with a delicate bronze relief, which depicts the figure of a soldier holding a weapon in his hands, and below - the inscription "Strength and honor". At the edges of the monument is a pair of stone balls of black and white, having the shape of the globe.

In the depths of the square "VDV" is a pedestal with a landing vehicle and two medium-sized guns. Next is an alpine slide with beautiful exotic trees. The square ends with a wall on which the motto and emblem of the Airborne Forces are engraved. Throughout the park "VDV" planted young Canadian maples, oaks, ash, linden, spruce and fir.
