Nigmatullah Haji Mosque
ooh Sovetskaya, 85, Embaevo village, Tyumen region, Russia
Description:
The Islamic complex of the mosque and madrasah appeared in the village of Embayevo, Tyumen region thanks to the well-known Bukhara merchant patron Nigmatullah Karmyshakov-Seydukov. He built the mosque and its accompanying buildings in 1884-1888 at his own expense. The building was designed by the Prussian native Gottlieb Zinke. Madrasah Nigmatullah Haji also kept at his own expense. There was a large library with many valuable books.
The yellow mosque with green roofs looks something like, oddly enough, Russian temples. Like many other Russian churches, the mosque was closed and looted after the October Revolution. In its premises for a long time were placed far from the spiritual search of the organization: dairy, the board of the collective farm, etc.
Only at the end of the 20th century, the mosque again became a mosque, at which the madrasah was reopened. Currently, this Islamic complex also includes a library, a hotel and a dining room.
