Leopard Island

Brusniche swamp, Sladkovsk district, Tyumen region

Description:

The islands of Tavolzhan and Brusniche are located in the south of the Sladkovsky district, Tyumen region, and lie in the middle of the lakes. Due to the isolation and inaccessibility of land, virgin nature was preserved here. Because of this, both islands were awarded the title of a protected natural monument of regional importance.

Brusniche Island has a taiga-tundra type and is located in the middle of the eponymous marshy lake in the vicinity of the village Stanichne. The island itself consists of swamps and a top surface covered with moss-jagelnik. Here grow lingonberries, blueberries, cashandra, cranberries and cloudberries.
