Description:
One of the many attractions of Tyumen is the Monument to the workers of the rear in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, located in the park "Olympic". Its grand opening took place on May 7, 2010 with the participation of local authorities. The sculptural composition includes several figures of people who hold a plate on outstretched arms above their heads. It represents the last block called “All for Victory”, which they left to lay in the symbolic building of “Victory”.
The composition also shows the figures of a disabled soldier, a plant worker, and an engineer of a defense enterprise. The desire for a happy future and a peaceful life is symbolized by the figure of a boy with a book. The monumental ensemble “Trainworkers of the rear” was made and developed by the Yekaterinburg Art Foundation according to the project of A. Medvedev, S. Savin and S. Titlinov. Not far from the monument are places for recreation: gazebos, fountains, children's town. This is a favorable place for family holidays.
