Holy Protection Church

The Holy Intercession Church was built in 1916, and its architectural style is a magnificent example of wooden architecture inherent in the Russian North. In Ishim it is the only preserved temple made in this style. The church is located outside the main districts of the city, separated from them by the canvas of the Trans-Siberian Railway. This is due to the fact that it was probably built instead of the chapel that previously stood at the city station.

In 2002, the image of the face of the Savior on the reverse side of the glass of the icon of the Savior Not Made by Hands was shown. This brought the temple additional fame and made it a pilgrimage. There was evidence of healing and miracles after turning to this image.
