Description:
The temple in honor of the introduction to the Church of the Blessed Virgin in the village of Bolshaya Sorokino, Tyumen region, was built in the 18th century. The first mention of the temple dates back to 1763. The history of the temple is sad. In the thirties of the last century, the temple was closed by the communist authorities, and its priests were repressed. First, the dome and bell tower were dismantled in the temple, and its premises began to serve as a club and library. By 1938, the building of the temple was completely dismantled, and in its place, a culture house was later built.
Currently, a church parish has been organized in the village of Bolshaya Sorokino and work is underway on a project to build a new church.
