The museum “The Legend of the World Biathlon A.I. Tikhonov” was created in 2008 at the Uvatsky Museum of Local Lore on the basis of the collection, which was transferred to Tikhonov and which consists of 600 exhibits.
Tikhonov Alexander Ivanovich is an outstanding Soviet biathlete, four-time Olympic champion.
The museum presents evidence of the great victories of the legendary biathlete: photos, a map with marked places of victories, Tikhonov’s jacket with his awards, the number of which exceeds one hundred, and much more. The museum has a multimedia screen that shows videos and photos. In addition, the museum tells about the hobbies and hobbies of Tikhonov, unrelated to sports.
